Entrance Fees

The Oklahoma City All Sports Association has adopted two guiding principles in organizing the 18th World Aerobatic Championships: to produce the competition in a style befitting a truly world-class sporting event, and to make attendance affordable for aviation enthusiasts. A large spectator attendance, including fly-ins, is expected.

When the minutes of the meeting of the Board of Directors of CIVA were published, the Registration Fees for Team Members and Official Observers were listed as approved by the Board. Some readers interpreted the fee for Official Observers as the admission price to the Championships for spectators. This is not the case.

Official Observers:

Persons registered by each participating nation as a member of their official party and for whom the Official Observer Registration Fee has been paid. Observers are entitled to the same rights and privileges as Team Members. This status is not open to the public and is limited to persons invited to travel with each nation's team.

Support the U.S. Team

US TEAM

Our sights are focused on bringing the world aerobatics trophies home to the United States. You are critical to our success. This year, more than ever before, your U.S. Aerobatic Team needs your financial support in order to ensure the realization of the American team's enormous potential for success in Oklahoma City.

Each season, the U.S. Aerobatic Foundation Board must decide which expenses of team participation it will be able to fund, based upon how much money they can expect to raise. The more money raised, the greater the portion of team expenses the Foundation can covered. With the Foundation Board's commitment to invest in the new individual training program, the costs to field the U.S. Team for 1996 are even greater than in the past. The Foundation has never yet had the luxury of fully funding the U.S. Aerobatic Team's preparation for and participation in the World Aerobatic Championships.

The team members themselves must make up the difference in those costs out of their own pockets. Not only do they provide their own competition aircraft, insurance, parts, and maintenance, but they fund their own coaching programs during the year to assist them in perfecting their skills. They have even had to pay a portion of their own travel, lodging, and meal expenses, as well as fuel bills, for official practice sessions in some lean years.

Because we rely solely on corporate sponsorships and individual contributions, our ability to relieve the team members of more of their personal financial burden of team participation, depends upon you, the aerobatics enthusiasts who heed the call to help your U.S. Aerobatic Team represent America in world class aerobatic competition.

Individual contributors can participate in the United States Team's efforts to win in a significant way by becoming a member of one of four supporting clubs:

Aerobatics 1000 Club:

For $1,000, members receive a laser cut hardwood plaque with an autographed photo of the team, a current team jacket, team patch, decals, a subscription to the Team News, and a Friend of the Team certificate.

Aerobatics 500 Club:

For $500, members receive the current team jacket, a color photo of the team, team patch, decals, subscription to Team News, and a Friend of the Team certificate.

Aerobatics 100 Club:

For $100, members receive the current team shirt, a color photo of the team, team patch, decals, subscription to Team News, and a Friend of the Team certificate.

Aerobatics 25 Club:

For $25, members get a team patch, decals, subscription to Team News, and a Friend of the Team certificate.

To become a member of one of these supporting clubs, contact the United States Aerobatic Foundation.
