South Africa is entering a three member Men's team, the mimimum needed to contend for the Nesterov Cup, consisting entirely of former South African National Aerobatic Champions.

Civil Engineer Charles Peter Celliers, of Roodewal Farm, is a seasoned campaigner on the world aerobatic scene and has been actively involved in CIVA affairs, having held the position of Vice President of that organization and participated in many WACs. He has been South African National Champion on 7 occasions and currently fiies an Extra 300L. Peter won the 1989 World Masters Tournament held in South Africa and also secured a gold medal at the 1989 Glider Worlds. Peter is married to Elmarie and they have 3 sons.

Stewart Davidson, from Port Elizabeth, is the current South African National Champion. He has participated in previous WACs in 1992 (Le Havre) and 1994 (Debrecen). Although his business interests involve heavy machinery, flying is his passion and he is the proud owner of a variety of aircraft, ranging from a Tiger Moth, Beech Staggerwing, AT6's, Sukhois and L29 jets, amongst others. He is married to June and they have 2 daughters and 2 sons. Both sons are keen aviators.

Company Director Zane Pearcek, based in Durban, was the 1995 National Champion flying a Sukhoi SU-26MX. Zane participated in the Advanced World Aerobatic Championships held in Cape Town in 1995. Married to Sue, they have three daughters.
